Saturday’s win over the Minnesota Golden Gophers may have been as close a victory as the University of Michigan has had in a long time. In fact, if it were not for a goal line stance on the final play of the game, it would not have been a victory at all.
On Thursday, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh made an appearance on 97.1’s “Stoney and Bill Show” and pointed out an unlikely “unsung hero” for the big victory. That hero is none other than strength coach, Kevin Tolbert.
“Because our team has gotten stronger and you really saw it on that goal-line play at the end where our front seven, well, call it the front 11, did a great job stopping that goal-line play,” Harbaugh said.
Michigan will welcome Rutgers into “The Big House” on Saturday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and the game will be shown on the Big Ten Network.
