REPORT: Jim Hackett to step down as U-M interim athletic director

According to a report from Mark Snyder of the Detroit Free Press, Jim Hackett is expected to step down as the interim athletic director at the Universiy of Michigan. Michigan is expected to begin their search for a permanent AD and Hackett, is not expected to be in the running.

Snyder also mentioned that his sources requested anonymity because they are not authorized to speak publicly about the matter and that Michigan spokesman Rick Fitzgerald has not returned his request for comments.
