It has been 10 years since Todd Bertuzzi was suspended for over a year from NHL and International play for ending Colorado Avalanche's Steve Moore's career. A lengthy civil trial was set to begin on September 8th of this year but it appears that the case has been settled outside of court.
The amount of the settlement has not been disclosed but earlier in the year Moore's lawyers said they were seeking 68 million dollars in damages.
I am sure that both Moore and Bertuzzi as well as the NHL would love to finally be able to move on from this horrific incident.
More details to follow.
Here is a video of the incident that aired on TSN a while back.
