Barring any trades, the Detroit Lions will be picking No. 16 in the 2016 NFL Draft. There is no question about it that they have plenty of needs, and addressing one of those needs with their first round pick is crucial.
When looking at the Lions needs, the offensive line and defensive line seem to be the two clear-cut areas the team must improve, whether it via free agency or the draft. Following those two positions, the Lions should also look to address the linebacker position and cornerback. Depending on what Calvin Johnson decides to do, the wide receiver position may or may not be a higher area of concern.
Here are 5 players the Detroit Lions should consider drafting with their first round pick.
