The city also serves as the start of the suburban area before one gets into the “city commons” of Detroit. The region presents a unique location to draw in fans from numerous surrounding regions. Fans could easily access a stadium in Southfield considering the city’s location along I-696, John C Lodge Freeway, Southfield Freeway, and Telegraph Road.
Accessibility will be a major hurdle for an MLS squad in Detroit and Southfield would serve as an easy spot for all fans to reach.
