Next season the Toledo Mud Hens will have a new manager as Larry Parrish has announced his retirement.

Parrish, who is a member of the International League Hall of Fame (inducted 2013), has managed the Mud Hens for a total of ten years including Governors’ Cup championships in 2005 and 2006. He was the manager of the Detroit Tigers in 1999 and also worked as a scout for the organization. During his MLB playing days, Parrish was a power hitting third baseman for Montreal Expos, Texas Rangers, and Boston Red Sox.
