Detroit Red Wings defenseman Mike Green was hit by Anaheim Ducks forward (and Livonia native) Ryan Kesler late in Detroit’s 6-4 victory on Saturday night and subsequently limped off the ice.
General manager Ken Holland reported that Green was “probably day to day”, and that they’ll know more regarding his status on Monday morning. The Red Wings begin a stretch of 10 of 11 games on the road, starting in Carolina.

However, Green himself said that he was okay after the game.

If he’s unavailable, Brian Lashoff could be inserted into the lineup. Green currently has 18 points (7 G, 11 A) on the season, good for second overall on the team.
