Yes you read that correctly. With sales sagging in the first three months of the season, the Detroit Tigers are offering a package of all the home games in July for a one-time price of $56 ($49+$7 processing fee).
There are nine home games total for the Tigers in July, including weekend matchups with the Kansas City Royals (July 15th-17th) and the Houston Astros (July 29-31st). The other three game series is against the Minnesota Twins from July 18th to the 20th.
Due to the upcoming 11-game road trip, followed by four days off for the All-Star break, the Tigers will not return home to Comerica Park until the series against the Kansas City Royals.
When fans buy the pass for the July games, they will be given a barcode for each game through the MLB.com Ballpark App, and the seat locations will vary from game to game. You will receive your seat location prior to first pitch via text. You may purchase up to 6 tickets at one time, but will need to buy them all together if you want the seats to all be together.
The Tigers have played 38 home games this season and are averaging 30,579 fans per game, with only one sellout which came on Opening Day. Through 38 games played last season, the Tigers were averaging 32,916 fans. The difference of nearly 2,400 fans per game is big for a team who’s payroll is among the highest in all of baseball. A lack of success last season, and .500 play so far this season are main reasons why the Tigers are struggling to fill seats after being near the top of the league in attendance the past few seasons.
